Physician Executive Consultant
Through my virtual consulting practice, I partner with healthcare organizations to drive meaningful, sustainable improvements in clinical outcomes, staff satisfaction and well-being, and care delivery. My work includes optimizing electronic health record (EHR) systems, designing and supporting addiction treatment programs, leading and supporting the launch of new services and departments, and guiding teams through operational and organizational change.
With more than 25 years of experience in clinical care, health IT, program development, and physician leadership, I bring practical insight, proven experience, and a collaborative approach to helping organizations improve processes, support providers and staff, enhance patient care, and achieve lasting results.

Addiction Medicine Program Development

This includes identifying pain points, improving documentation processes, supporting provider adoption, and aligning EHR tools with real-world clinical practice.

I provide strategic support for launching and integrating new primary care, specialty care, and behavioral health services. My work focuses on translating organizational goals into practical implementation plans tailored to the needs of each practice, care team, and patient population.

About Dr. Lopez

Norma I. López, DO, MMM, is a board-certified family physician, addiction medicine specialist, clinical informaticist, and healthcare strategist with more than 25 years of clinical and executive leadership experience.
Throughout her career, she has guided the development and implementation of technology-enabled healthcare solutions designed to expand access to care, improve patient outcomes, reduce provider burden, and strengthen operational efficiency.
She has designed and supported substance use disorder treatment programs across a wide range of healthcare organizations, bringing together clinical, operational, and technology expertise to expand access and improve outcomes. She also delivers presentations on reducing stigma and promoting more effective, evidence-based approaches to addiction care.
Dr. Lopez is board-certified in Family Medicine, Addiction Medicine, and Clinical Informatics, and holds a Master of Medical Management degree (MMM) from Carnegie Mellon University.
Dr. Lopez is licensed in Massachusetts, New York, Connecticut, and New Hampshire.
